Minister Suren Papikyan Visited Armenian Pavilion of the Francophonie Village


Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of RA Suren Papikyan has visited today the Francophonie Village, taking a tour through the Armenian Pavilion, where the specifics of culture, history, cuisine, agricultural products, traditional garments, and arts and crafts of Artsakh and all the provinces of RA were presented. The Minister got acquainted with the main components and ethno-cultural exhibits characteristic to each province, presented under one common Pavilion.

Expressing his satisfaction over excellent saturation and presentation of winemaking, carpet-weaving and cross-stone making samples in the regional pavilions, the Minister emphasized that the event is a great opportunity to present the world all the traditional, customary and symbolic distinctive features of our country due to which we occupy our unique place in the world civilization map.

The aim of the Francophonie Village is to present the cultural diversity of the International Organization of “La Francophonie”, which is one of the most important topics of Yerevan summit agenda. Through the pavilions allocated to the participants, it is possible to showcase the culture and lifestyle of the Francophone countries. The Francophonie Village is held under the slogan "Living and Building Together" this year. The full range of cultural and linguistic diversity of participating countries, tourism opportunities, art, and culture of theirs is being presented.
