TAES Minister Received Temporary Charge d'affaires of Embassy of the United Arab Emirates


On November 11, the first meeting was held between the RA TAES Minister Armen Yeritsyan and the United Arab Emirates Embassy Charge d'Affaires Mr. Obaid Khalifa al-Kaab.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish cooperation in the fields of emergency situations and territorial administration between the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.

TAES Minister presented the Ministry's activities to al-Kaab, noting that as chairman of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic and technical cooperation between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, will do everything possible to give impetus to bilateral cooperation in relevant areas.

Expressing gratitude to Minister Yeritsyan for warm reception, Obaid Khalifa al-Kaab, noted that the United Arab Emirates is deeply interested in cooperation and experience exchange in the field of emergency situations, particularly in the area of child protection.

Obaid Khalifa al-Kaab gave Minister Yeritsyan an invitation letter to attend the forum on “We will protect” on the protection of children's rights, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates under the auspices of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noting that the Arab side is very much interested in the direct participation of the Minister in the forum.

Accepting the invitation, TAES Minister noted, that MTAES always deals with the issues relating the welfare and protection of children's rights in the framework of territorial administration functions, keeping eye on the renovation of schools and kindergartens in communities.

In conclusion, in order to develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of emergency situations, a verbal agreement was reached, between TAES Minister and the UAE charge d'affaires Obaid Khalifa al-Kaab on the possible meetings and discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the UAE Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
