Consultation at MTAES


On October 5, the regular weekly consultative meeting was held at the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, chaired by Minister Armen Yeritsyan.

Rescue Service Director, r/s Lieutenant-General Sergey Azaryan reported on measures undertaken, the implemented tasks and the ongoing activities. S. Azaryan particularly referred to the training exercises on the most important topics- maneuvers of fire-fighters and the protection of important objects held on September 28. He also reported on the participation of the Armenian young firefighters in training exercises held in the Republic of Belarus.

The Head of “SPS” Agency H. Petrosyan, reported on current activities and upcoming events. The Head of the Agency informed, that the Russian partners would arrive tomorrow, and start the replacement of the recording device of the deformograph, installed in Garni Geophysical Observatory by a new one. H. Petrosyan also mentioned, that “SPS” had submitted proposals to the Government’s draft decision on schools seismic resistance.

Director of “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Service” SNCO of the MTAES L. Vardanyan noted, that precipitation is expected in the RA regions and in Yerevan in the upcoming days. From October 7 to 9, there would be a decrease in air temperature by 4-5 degrees, while from 10 to 12 no precipitation was expected and the air temperature would rise to 24 degrees.

Director of MTAES “Service of the Active Influence to Atmospheric Processes” SNCO A. Karapetyan reported on the activities performed by the anti - hail stations.

During the meeting, it was reported on the event titled “Movement for a New Village”, that had recently been held in South Korea, and was attended by the Armenian delegation, headed by ARNAP Deputy Director Ara Barseghyan.

In his report A. Barseghyan presented the South Korean successful experience, ie: through development of the communities to develop the republic and the means of its possible implementation in Armenia.

The project, on development of psychological service in MTAES CMNC, which implies embedding the latest and advanced technologies, was also presented to Minister A. Yeritsyan. According to the Minister, it should be one of the best in the country and would contribute to the improvement of human resources policy.

Taking part in the online weekly consultation, the Head of State Emergency Service AG NKR and the heads of regional rescue departments reported on the incidents registered during the week and the current activities.
