Contribution of Output-based Budgeting Methodology at Local Level


On September 9, in the framework of the “Community Development in South Caucasus” project, implemented jointly by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the RA TAES Ministry, a workshop was held on: “Contribution of Output-based Budgeting Methodology at the local level: second phase of the pilot communities”

During the meeting the description of output-based budgeting, as well as the pilot communities budgeting practices were presented.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the RA TAES Ministry, the pilot communities and international organizations, local and international experts.

The project “Community Development in the South Caucasus”, which is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), supports and provides consultancy to the relevant partners at the national, regional (subnational) and local levels, to Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan in the implementation of cooperative initiatives aimed at the development of local self-government.

It supports the improvement of the local self-government framework conditions, touches upon regional (subnational) management issues and works towards the improvement of community services.

In the context of the German Agency for International Cooperation, the project objectives are aimed at the target Caucasian initiatives frame, thus the exchange of professional experiences among countries and the improvement of cooperation between them are the main objectives for the South Caucasus regional level.
