TAES Minister Received the Polish Delegation

On September 2, in the framework of Armenian urban search and rescue team for the UN INSARAG qualification training exercise, the RA TAES Minister Armen Yeritsyan received the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Poland Stanislaw Rakozi, Director of the State Fire Service of Poland, General Vieslav Leshnikovich, Regional Director of the State Fire Service of Warsaw, General Joseph Galika, Director of postgraduate school of Chestahova Colonel Marek Chmieli and Major Krzistof Petrasik.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Yeritsyan presented divisions of MTAES, responsible for territorial administration and emergency situations and their functional responsibilities.

The Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Poland Stanislaw Rakozi noted, that he was happy to support Armenia to become a member of the International search and rescue teams of INSARAG, in the framework of the Armenian-Polish cooperation. Mr. Rakozi expressed hope, that the Armenian-Polish cooperation in the field of emergency situations will develop, passing from advisory level to technical assistance. The guests presented the activities and rescue service units operating in Poland, as well as the work of Polish fire and rescue volunteer squads.

The sides also discussed the methodology and technology of public notification of natural disasters in both countries.
In conclusion, the members of the Polish delegation, accompanied by TAES Deputy Minister Artashes Bakhshyan toured the territory of the Ministry, got acquainted with the backup server of the government and activities of the Crisis Management Center.
