Consultation at MTAES


On August 28, the first, after summer vacation, consultative meeting was held at the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, chaired by Minister Armen Yeritsyan.

2 major training exercises are being initialized

According to the Minister’s instruction, the relevant activities are being held towards the Military Command and Staff Exercises “Shant 2015”, which will be held in September, with participation of the RA governmental and military administration.

Rescue Service Director, r/s Lieutenant-General Sergey Azaryan reported on measures undertaken, the implemented tasks and the ongoing activities. S. Azaryan also reported on exercises conducted in the framework of the qualification process of the UN International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG). MTAES urban search and rescue teams have applied to the UN International Search and Rescue Advisory Group for external qualification, which will allow to participate in international rescue operations.

The Services have actively worked

The Head of “SPS” Agency H. Petrosyan reported on current activities and upcoming events. The Head of the Agency also reported on effective cooperation with French partners and the expected major achievements. In the near future, the agency will obtain 6 latest seismic stations.

Director of “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Service” SNCO of the MTAES L. Vardanyan presented the upcoming weather forecast and referred to the temperature registered in August. The Head of Service informed about the positive feedback of agricultural seminars conducted in the regions, which were attended by community leaders and farmers.

Director of MTAES “Service of the Active Influence to Atmospheric Processes” SNCO A. Karapetyan reported on activities carried out by anti - hail stations in August. During the mentioned period, cumulonimbus clouds were observed in the territory of the republic, 90 anti-hail stations operated, and about 17.400 shots were performed.

Head of the State Migration Service G. Yeganyan briefly presented the complete data of citizens, having ban on entry to the RF and of those citizens, who had applied for asylum during the week. The Head of Service stated, that the percentage of the positive answers continued to increase.

Chief Adviser to the Minister of the RA MTAES S. Petrosyan informed, that the operation of the pilot program on alarm systems had already ended and presented the RA alarm system implementation program.

Student’s gathering and children's camp

Rector of the Crisis Management State Academy H. Matevosyan reported on the entrance exams of the 2015-2016 academic year. Quite good results of admission were recorded this year.

The Vice-rector of the CMSA K. Voskanyan reported on the participation and achievements of students of the Academy in “Baze 2015” youth gathering. High results were recorded especially in intellectual and artistic competitions.

The Chairwoman of the Trade Union of the RA MTAES system L. Melikyan reported on the organization of the vacation of children of the employees of the Ministry’s departments and the regional rescue departments. This summer, as in previous year, 132 children spend a 10 day summer vacation in “Gugark” camp in Lori. As to L. Melikyan, the children spent exciting and joyful days at the camp. Various artistic and sporting events were organized at the camp, and the employees of Lori Regional Rescue Department and “SSP” agency conducted courses and training exercises for the campers.

Parents of the children expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of TAES and Trade Union, for the organization of such holiday for their children.

Taking part in the online weekly consultation, the Head of State Emergency Service AG NKR and the heads of regional rescue departments reported on the incidents registered during the week and the current activities.
