Consultative Meeting at MTAES

On July 20, the regular weekly consultative meeting was held at the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, chaired by Minister Armen Yeritsyan.

Rescue Service Director, r/s Lieutenant-General Sergey Azaryan reported on incidents registered during the week, measures undertaken, the implemented tasks and the ongoing activities. The Rescue Service responded to 743 cases during the previous week. It was reported to Minister about the alarm system installation in about 21 border communities. S. Azaryan also reported on the achievements of the group of young firefighters and rescuers participating in the International Championship in the city of Minsk, Belarus.

The Head of the RA MTAES State Fire and Technical Safety Inspection A. Mkrtchyan presented the results of inspections of gas stations conducted in the republic.

Director of “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Service” SNCO of the RA MTAES L. Vardanyan presented the upcoming weather forecast. The Head of the Service reported, that the temperature will rise from July 26.

Director of MTAES “Service of the Active Influence to Atmospheric Processes” SNCO A. Karapetyan reported on activities carried out by anti - hail stations within the previous week. Last week, cumulonimbus clouds were seen in Lori, Aragatsotn, Tavush and Shirak regions. 60 anti-hail stations operated, about 16000 shots were performed.

The chairwoman of the Trade Union of the RA MTAES system L. Melikyan reported on the organization of the vacation of children of the employees the Ministry’s Departments, as well as the Regional Rescue Departments. This year, as in previous years, the children will have a 10-day summer vacation in Lori “Gugark” camp. Exciting and joyful days were awaiting the children. Various artistic and sporting events will be organized in the camp, while the employees of Lori Region Rescue Department will conduct training exercises and courses.

Taking part in the online weekly consultation, the Head of State Emergency Service AG NKR and the heads of regional rescue departments reported on the incidents registered during the week and current activities.
